ASIAN WORD FILM FESTIVAL
The One Heart Movement was honored to be a sponsor and presenting partner of the 2021 and 2022 Asian World Film Festival!
In response to hate crimes against Asian Americans rising by 75% in 2020, The One Heart Movement took action to foster well-being and inspire unity among the general population and under-represented cultures, by becoming a presenting partner of the Asian World Film Festival in 2021.
The Asian World Film Festival (AWFF), is an annual event that brings the best of
a broad selection of Asian world cinema to Los Angeles, CA, strengthening ties between the Asian and Hollywood film industries. The two-week long film festival represented over 50 countries throughout the continent of Asia, including: the Middle East, India, and Africa.
Films have the power to transform the way cultures are represented, accepted and appreciated by others. By providing a window into other worlds through film, we can connect with what we all have in common, rather than focusing on our differences.
